Nisar expressed his satisfaction with the army’s resolve to remain “apolitical.”
A former minister who will be running for office begins his campaign in his home district.
RAWALPINDI: On Friday, former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan applauded the Pakistan Army’s decision to keep out of politics, stating that each side should focus on their own responsibilities.
He refuted rumors of creating his own political party while speaking with local media, saying he was in contact with both the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Nisar declared, “I have a respect and honorable connection with PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
“I used to be in the PML-N, and we get along well. I’m in communication with the PTI and the PML-N, and I’ll make a choice after surveying the district’s residents.
It’s possible that I’ll run for office as an independent, he added.
The former minister also stated a wish to stay out of Punjab’s political scene.
“I have heard that accountability is happening since before I was even born, but when accountability happened, it was unilateral,” he said.
Before speaking to the media, Nisar addressed his constituents and asked them to switch down their cameras. He did not, however, prevent them from reporting the encounter.
“I am not very content with my performance of serving my people,” he declared in front of the crowd. Today, my pals officially launched their political campaign.
“I will run for office myself from the PP-10 seat and will field my candidates from the PP-12 constituency,” he continued.
He said, “Today, powerful people are being accused. I’m keeping quiet because abuse politics are prevalent today.
I won’t speak negatively about the party I supported, Nisar declared. I’m treated really well by Imran Khan. I’m not going to criticise him either.
The former minister claimed that PML-N and PTI politics had now devolved into hostility.
He said, “Whoever succeeded from my district accomplished nothing for its citizens and defamed the nation with a phony degree.”
Regarding the political climate, he claimed that the nation was in grave jeopardy.
“There is no longer a difference between truth and lie. But if you choose to support me, you won’t feel embarrassed. I adhere to the truth. I’ll stand by the truth, said Nisar.
He criticized the current political system, in which party leaders make all the decisions, claiming that “this is not politics” because “in politics, there are conflicts.”
Vote for my opponent if he has fulfilled even a tenth of his campaign promises, he continued.
‘If you support me. You won’t feel embarrassed. “They used to say to me, ‘If you don’t say anything, people will forget you,'” he continued.
