Washington: According to Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Pakistan would continue to collaborate with the US to advance regional peace and stability.

During a meeting with Wendy Sherman, the US Deputy Secretary of State, the foreign minister shared these opinions.

In a tweet, Bilawal noted that he and Sherman had a fruitful discussion during which he expressed his appreciation for the US’s contribution to flood relief, recovery, and reconstruction.

He declared that Pakistan and the United States would keep cooperating to advance and diversify their bilateral ties and advance regional peace and stability.

The foreign minister hailed Senator Chris Van Hollen for his “steadfast support” of Pakistan during their meeting.

The US Congress’ role in enhancing Pak-US cooperation on flood relief, rehabilitation, and reconstruction was discussed between the two parties.

Separately, Bilawal claimed that he was the only Pakistani foreign minister to have paid for his own hotel bill and ticket.

While outlining the specifics of his travels abroad, Bilawal claimed he did not incur unnecessary costs for the national exchequer, adding that even if he did, it was within his authority as the foreign minister.

He said that the people of Pakistan benefited more from his travels abroad than he did. Other people might travel abroad for vacations, but because to his efforts, Pakistan was removed from the FATF’s “grey list” and was able to enjoy economic benefits.

According to Bilawal, the G77 reform proposal should be read because every developing country urged that international financial institutions aid the underdeveloped countries.
