At the auction, a vivid pink diamond might fetch $35 million.
It is predicted that the Fortune Pink Diamond will cost between $25 million and $35 million.

GENEVA/LONDON:
The largest spectacular intense pink pear-shaped diamond ever offered for auction may fetch up to $35 million at a Christie’s sale of rare jewels on November 8, according to the auctioneer.

“The diamond is 18.18 carats in weight, which is obviously a very lucky number for Asian collectors. Max Fawcett, head of Christie’s jewellery department in Geneva, stated that there has already been a significant amount of interest from all over the world. “The colour is outstanding. It is a clear stone with a true vibrant pink colour. It truly is a jewel and something we haven’t seen at Christie’s in a very long time.

The estimated price range for the Fortune Pink Diamond is $25 million to $35 million. The 18.96-carat Winston Pink Legacy, the largest vivid pink diamond ever sold at Christie’s, fetched $50.4 million in 2018, setting a new record for the price per carat of a pink diamond sold at auction.

The largest raw pink diamond ever discovered in Russia, a rare pink diamond created from it, was sold for $26.6 million on Wednesday at Sotheby’s in Geneva. The 14.83-carat stone, known as “The Spirit of the Rose,” set a global record for a purple-pink diamond in terms of the final sale price, including commission.

The marble-sized stone was put up for auction online, and it didn’t take long for bids to reach 21 million Swiss francs. The winning bidder remained unidentified. The diamond was referred to as a “wonder of nature” by Sotheby’s auctioneer Benoit Repelling, who also noted that the price of the pink stones is rising as they grow more scarce.

The “Spirit of the Rose” was faceted from a 27.85-carat stone discovered in 2017 in the Russian Sakha Republic in northeastern Siberia by the diamond mining company Alrosa. The completed diamond was painstakingly carved to shape over the course of almost a year in order to maintain its pink colour.

The rarest and most sought-after precious jewels on the market are pink diamonds. The CTF Star Pink diamond, which fetched $71.2 million when it was sold in Hong Kong in 2017, holds the record for the most money ever spent on a pink diamond. According to Sotheby’s, five of the top ten most costly diamonds ever sold were pink and were all sold in the last ten years.
