The Pakistani and English Test teams were invited to a dinner hosted by the prime minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad.

Both sides were invited to supper at the PM’s mansion following England’s victory over Pakistan in the opening Test of a three-match series.

Haris Rauf has been disqualified from the Test series against England.

The managing director of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Rob Key, the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ramiz Raja, and members of the team attended the occasion.

The English team was congratulated on their victory and thanked for returning to Pakistan during Prime Minister Shehbaz’s speech.

“Congratulations! England performed admirably during this Test match and they deserve to win “said he.

“This team from Pakistan has my support. In Multan, I have faith that my squad will recover “Added he.

Ben Stokes, who was unable to attend the event, was thanked by PM Shehbaz for his donation to the flood-affected family.

He stated, “Ben Stokes is not here, but I want to thank him for his contribution to aiding flood-affected people in Pakistan.”

“Pakistan has always received aid from England and its citizens. The folks here will definitely benefit from his generosity, “Finally, he said.

Stokes made the announcement immediately after arriving in Pakistan that he will donate his match costs for each of the three Test matches to Pakistani flood victims.

This year, the England cricket team visited Pakistan for a Test match. They had previously played in seven T20Is in Lahore and Karachi, which the England team won 4-3.

The second Test between the two teams will take place at the Multan Cricket Stadium from December 9–13.
