Nawaz Sharif, the supremo of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PLM-N), stated on Sunday that he is prepared to suffer the same difficulties that the nation has endured, but that he cannot allow brutality against the people.

During his speech to a public gathering in Sialkot, a former premier who had served three times before lambasted the current administration of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) by bringing attention to the sky-high inflation and the significant increase in the price of gasoline, both of which he claimed were missing during his previous term in power.

Sugar, which was originally sold at a rate of fifty rupees per kilogramme, is now being sold for one hundred fifty rupees, according to Nawaz.

In addition to this, he requested that the public comprehend the reality of the individuals who are accountable for the existing state of affairs in the nation, which includes the inflation rate.

Nawaz continued by saying that the average person is unable to purchase even the most basic essentials, and he repeated an example from his former tenure, in which he promised the people that he would bring inflation under control and make living more cheap.

In an effort to strike a compromise between the lofty hopes of the people and the harsh ground realities about the country’s terrible financial difficulties, the PML-N presented a cautiously optimistic economic manifesto the day before. The manifesto outlined targets that were generally attainable without unraveling the economic stability of the country.

A number of the objectives are, for the most part, in agreement with the estimates for the next five years that were provided by the International Monetary Fund in its staff report that was made public this month. On the other hand, the manifesto does not address the current bailout package from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) or the way to deal with the growing public debt.

If the PML-N were to be elected to power, the budget and the current account deficit goals would indicate that they could be considering entering into a program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

In addition, the party broke its commitment to provide free electricity to customers who consume 200 units of electricity on a monthly basis.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has not made any efforts to transform Pakistan into an Asian Tiger and is content with taking a prudent approach to achieving a gradual increase in income levels. It has forecasted that the average income per person will reach $2,000 by the year 2029, indicating a gradual development in this direction.
