The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has stated that it does not recognize the results of the Sindh Local Government Elections and has accused the PPP of rigging the Fawad Chaudhry has demanded an investigation into the polls and claims that the PPP manipulated Sunday’s elections using a variety of strategies.

“New precedents for election rigging were set by the way the elections were conducted. When speaking to the media in Lahore, PTI Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry remarked, “We reject the election results and demand that an inquiry be started.
The PTI leader claimed that the Sindh government utilised public funds to rig the election results and employed a number of other strategies to maintain a low voter turnout.
He said, “By issuing security and bomb blast alerts, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and the PPP’s Sindh administration tried to keep people away from elections.
According to results released by the electoral commission, the Pakistan Peoples Party emerged as the biggest winner in the second round of local body elections in Sindh. It obtained the most seats in Karachi and a commanding majority in the Hyderabad division.
According to the electoral commission’s results, there was no clear winner in Karachi for the position of the city’s future mayor.
In Karachi, there are 246 union committees (UCs), but due to the deaths of 11 candidates, elections were held in only 235 UCs. The mayor must receive 124 votes to be elected.
According to the results, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) secured 40 UCs, Jamaat-e-Islami got 86 UCs, and the PPP secured 93 UCs. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) won in 7, followed by the Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM) (1), Jamiat Ulema-e Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) (3), Independents (3), and Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) (2).
The results, which were announced more than 36 hours after the election on Sunday, sparked charges of rigging from different parties.
