Due to the ongoing rainfall in the mountainous regions of Koh-e-Suleiman, Punjab’s Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued warnings about high to extremely high flood levels in the region’s hill torrents.

According to the PDMA spokesperson, the water flow is steadily rising, necessitating immediate notification of local authorities.

The relevant administrations have been instructed to remain on high alert by PDMA Director General Irfan Kathia.

The Dera Ghazi Khan Commissioner and district commissioners have been issued an alert to prepare for flooding.

Staff in the emergency control room have been instructed to remain vigilant to ensure readiness for any circumstance.

Disaster response teams from Rescue 1122 of the PDMA have been put on high alert, and DG Kathia stressed the significance of having enough fuel stocks for rescue operations.

In addition, to ensure public safety, he urged citizens to be informed of the current situation.

Further, the clearing of individuals and domesticated animals from riverbanks is really important, and Kathia has focused on the requirement for successful correspondence of wellbeing measures to general society.
