LAHORE: In Lahore, In response to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s harsh comments, Khawaja Saad Rafique, the leader of the PML-N, said that Zardari was unhappy because he didn’t think he would become prime minister.
“Bilawal is angry because he is getting farther away from the prime minister’s seat.” The PML-N leader wrote on ‘X’ on Saturday, “He should stay strong and run for office based on how the Sindh government has done and the election manifesto.”
His comments come after the PPP said that the PML-N was moving into Sindh, which has been a base of the PPP, and working with the MQM-P. The divide between the two parties grew when the PPP criticized the Nawaz Sharif-led PML-N for getting more support from voters in Balochistan.
Bilawal was upset that former members and politicians were joining the PML-N. Khawaja Saad Rafique supported the plan by saying that coalitions and alliances are necessary for good government.
He said that this was something that both the PPP and the PTI did in the past. “To form a government, the crutches of elected representatives or members are needed.”
Rafique talked about the party’s goals by saying that they wanted to change Sindh’s towns and said that if they won, they wanted to follow the progress made in Lahore and Faisalabad.
He stressed how important it was to change the system in Sindh right away so that things could move forward.
“Nawaz is worried about how popular Bilawal is”
As the fighting got worse, Nadeem Afzal Chan, the leader of the PPP, made a rude comment about Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the PML-N. He said that Sharif had easily forgotten his famous slogan “Mujhe Kyun Nikala” (why was I removed) in London.
“People are becoming more interested in PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari,” the PPP leader said. He said that Saad Rafique was helping Nawaz Sharif with his plans to take over PIA. He said about PML-N’s chances in the election, “PML-N won’t even get 25 seats from Punjab.”
