Marvi Faseeh introduced a motion in the Sindh Assembly on Thursday denouncing Sahil Adeem’s disparaging comments against women.
Following his remarks in a private TV program that 95% of women in the nation are “jahil” (ignorant), the controversial public speaker came under fire.
The motion was introduced by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA Marvi Faseeh, who condemned Adeem’s remarks as a grave transgression of social, legal, and religious norms that caused great pain among women.
The resolution, which claims that Adeem’s discriminatory comments have infringed upon the dignity of women and lawmakers like Marvi Faseeh in the Sindh Assembly, calls for severe judicial action against him.
