The US State Department said Friday that a top official would be going to Islamabad next week to talk with Pakistani officials about a number of problems.

The Department of State said in a statement that Julieta Valls Noyes, who is the Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, would be in Islamabad from December 4 to December 7.

When Assistant Secretary Noyes goes to Islamabad, he will meet with top government officials, non-governmental organizations, and international partners to talk about how they can work together to protect vulnerable people and speed up the safe, efficient relocation and resettlement of Afghan refugees in the US immigration pipeline.
