Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja said on Thursday that the plan for the general elections on February 8, 2024, will be released in the next few days.
In a speech on National Voters’ Day, the CEC said that the electoral body is getting ready for the elections and that work on printing and delivering the final voter rolls is done.
In a few days, the ECP will send notices to assistant officers, district returning officers (DROs), and returning officers (ROs).
“Constitutional and legal responsibilities” are clear to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), according to the top election official in the country.
He said again and again that the ECP is ready and determined to hold fair and calm elections.
Raja also said that there would be full protection during the elections so that people could use their right to vote without worrying about privacy or being seen.
He asked people to work with the electoral watchdog to make sure the elections would be peaceful and told them not to believe rumours that the general elections would be delayed.
