According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Corps Commander General Babar Iftikhar presided over the investiture ceremony of the Karachi Corps on Friday.
Army officers and troops received the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military), and Tamgha-i-Basalat honors during the ceremony, according to the military’s media wing.
For their services to the armed forces, at least 14 officers received the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) award, while 19 officers received the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) honor.
On behalf of the martyrs, Tamgha-i-Basalat was given to the relatives of nine servicemen.
Families of the recipients and many senior army officers were present for the ceremony.
General Iftikhar, the main guest, spoke with martyr families and thanked them for their sacrifices.
