Faisal Vawda, a former federal minister, stated on Tuesday that the country’s current state is a direct result of what was planted and that selfish interests and large egos have become the issue.

Speaking on the “Kal Tak” Express News programme and in an interview with a private news channel, Vawda claimed that the results of the elections were the same as those of the previous elections in 2008, 2013 and 2018.

He went on to say that everything would remain the same in the upcoming elections. He did, however, underline that, for the first time, he was taking away “one positive thing” from this election, which was that the system and the next election would be for Pakistan’s benefit.

Vawda stated in response to a query that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) that was visible today was a PTI caretaker. He emphasised that the PTI “will be out of the system if it does not become part of the reconciliation,” and he questioned, “Where is the real PTI?”

In response to a different query, the former minister stated that whatever the PPP stated would occur. “The PML-N will bear the brunt of responsibility, with the PPP assuming all constitutional offices.” He cautioned that the $24 billion payment due in June would be the main issue.

Regarding PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif’s post-election speech, he stated that Nawaz ought to have demonstrated his leadership qualities. Since the independent candidates were the largest group, he ought to have given them a chance to form the government. The independents actually had no chance of forming a government.
