Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and a former minister of foreign affairs stated on Friday, using cricketing parlance, that the leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) believe they have “fixed the match,” but this is not the case.

He issued a warning that the current situation in Pakistan is “dangerous” because of the split that traditional politicians have produced among the institutions and other members of society.

“Politicians who have held the prime minister’s office thrice are angling for the chair for the fourth time,” Bilawal asserted while addressing a rally in Multan. He was referring to the former coalition partner, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

In a statement that appeared to be a swipe at Nawaz Sharif, the supreme leader of the PML-N, Bilawal stated that the previous prime minister had no desire to address the urgent problems that the people are currently up against.

The chairman of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) made the following statement in reference to the unprecedented levels of inflation and unemployment in the country: “At the present time, no party, with the exception of the PPP, has a comprehensive plan to address these issues.” To the exclusion of the welfare of the people, other political entities are simply concerned with elections for the purpose of gaining their own advantages.

However, the former minister of foreign affairs pointed out that the rebirth of terrorism in today’s world is a consequence of the societal separation that was seeded by politicians who are getting older. He praised the sacrifices that were made by the military and police in their efforts to destroy terrorism. Our time has come to put an end to the politics of hatred.

Providing specifics regarding his ideas for governance, Bilawal stated that if he were to become the leader of the country, he would streamline the system by removing 17 ministries that were not necessary and redistributing the cash to the advantage of the general public. He continued by saying, “We will do away with the annual subsidy of 1,500 billion rupees for the elite, and instead choose to impose taxes on capitalists in order to lessen the burden that is placed on the poor.”

The PPP Chairman emphasized that “I have personally crafted PPP’s economic plan, and our first priority upon assuming power will be their swift implementation to curb inflation and unemployment.”

Without mentioning Nawaz, Bilawal stated that the primary objective of certain politicians is to take their place in the prime minister’s chair for the fourth time. The PML-N members are under the impression that they have found a way to manipulate the match, but this is not the case. He continued by saying, “They are unable to even leave the confines of their homes.”

In his statement, the former minister of international affairs stated that he would become prime minister with the backing of the people and would appoint the chief minister of Punjab from South Punjab inside his cabinet.

The participants in the gathering were also addressed by Yousaf Raza Gilani, who had previously served as Prime Minister, as well as other party leaders.
