The Islamabad Bar Association is a strong supporter of the rule of law. They say that elections must happen on time and promise to protect constitutional authority.
Asad Naveed Bhatti, the secretary of the bar association, said in a statement that the Constitution makes it clear that elections must happen at the times set by law. This is a concept that has been emphasized by the Supreme Court of Pakistan in its decisions.
In line with constitutional rules and court orders, the group wants the elections to happen as planned.
The Islamabad Bar Association also promises to keep working on its historical projects and strongly reject any actions that could harm the purity of the election process.
This stance shows that the group is even more dedicated to democratic principles and following the constitutional timelines for election procedures.
