Where did you go?
Junaid Khan: USA (NY and Houston).
Why did you go?
JK: I’ve been a wrestling fan and their headline event WrestleMania was happening in New York so I had to experience it. Houston was mainly a family commitment.
What did you pack?
JK: I didn’t pack a lot as I had to keep space for shopping, but I did pack a few warm jackets for New York, my gym wear, and consumables – like protein shake as I (ideally) don’t miss a day.
What was favourite meal/restaurant?
JK: GupShup for its desi food in New York and The Chocolate Factory in Houston for its three-milk cake.
What was the biggest highlight of your trip/most memorable moment?
JK: WrestleMania was the highlight of this trip. I’ve been following this show since I was a kid and I had to let it out of my system by experiencing it live.
Some sights worth seeing?
JK: I flew over New York’s major sites like the Statue of Liberty, Manhattan and others, and that was great.
What are some spots for a night out?
JK: New York is loaded with spots. There is something opening every other day within Manhattan.
Travel essentials?
JK: I usually travel fully equipped with my washroom essentials, basic t-shirts and pjs for a comfortable trip. Basically, I make sure to keep all my daily use items.
Any travel tips you would like to share?
JK: Always do your research before you travel. Find hotels close to where you will be roaming around frequently.
