ISLAMABAD: On the 147th anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam’s birth, President Arif Alvi and Acting Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar called for unity to maintain democracy and promote peaceful coexistence.
President Alvi stated in a statement that Jinnah supported the rights of the Muslim community and that “Quaid-e-Azam was the great benefactor of the nation whose tireless efforts led to the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent.”
Alvi emphasized justice and hope as means of advancing Islamic beliefs, morality, and fraternity, saying that the current state of affairs in the nation “beckons to follow the vision of the father of the nation and his guiding principles.”
In the meanwhile, the acting prime minister affirmed in a statement that the nation should be guided by Quaid’s ideas of “unity, faith, and discipline.”
He went on to say that because of Jinnah’s exceptional leadership abilities and unmatched character, his disposition continues to serve as a light of hope for the nation’s citizens.
“The Muslims were imbued with a strong sense of resolve and bravery to overcome any obstacles in their path to achieving their lofty objective, as well as the Quaid’s unwavering will and resolve,” Kakar said.
On Monday, the country will fervently and enthusiastically commemorate the 147th anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s birth.
Gun salutes and tours of provincial and federal capital mausoleums marked the start of the day.
Governmental, political, social, and non-governmental organizations and forums organized special activities to commemorate the day.
Participants lavished praise on Jinnah for his visionary leadership and hard work, which resulted in the establishment of Pakistan.
In Karachi, a 21-gun salute was fired, and prayers were said at Quaid’s mausoleum.
The tomb was visited and prayers were offered by Dr. Arif Alvi, Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori, Chief Minister Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar, and other provincial leaders.
A contingent of the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul took on the ceremonial guard duty during a changing of guard ceremony.
