The pistol that was used in the attempted assassination of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has been recovered by the Punjab police, who have also booked the arrested suspect, Naveed, in another case of possessing illegal weapons. This marks a step forward in the investigation into the attempted murder of Imran Khan.
The accused person is credited with pointing out the location of the weapon’s recovery near the scene of the crime, which led to its recovery.
According to the sources, the pistol did not have a license, and the accused concealed it in some bushes within a Haveli close to the location of the crime after shooting at Imran’s container on November 3.
