WEEKLY INFLATION DECLINES BY JUST 0.09%

While the yearly rate stayed at 29.30%, the weekly inflation rate saw a tiny decline of 0.09 percent.

The costs of 23 necessities, including firewood, eggs, raw milk, and bread, have gone up, while those of a few other items, including vegetable ghee and cooking oil, have gone down, according to a study from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

During this time, the costs of 21 key items stayed the same.
Weekly price increases included 2.86 percent for eggs, 28.1 percent for basmati broken rice, 28.1 percent for flour, 2.76 percent for bread, 2.49 percent for firewood, 1.61 percent for LPG, and 1.27 percent for energy savers.

On the other side, prices for tomatoes, potatoes, sugar, vegetable ghee, cooking oil, and electricity all decreased. Tomatoes decreased by 6.02 percent, potatoes by 8.85 percent, and sugar by 1.22 percent.

According to the figures, the inflation rate for the group with income up to Rs17,732 per month on an annual basis last week was 27.80% in terms of the decimal point of sensitive prices. It was 28.24% for the group making between Rs17,733 and Rs22,888 and 30.17% for those making between Rs22,899 and Rs29,517.

The annual inflation rate was 29.61% for those making more than Rs44,176 per month and 31.35% for those making between Rs29,518 and Rs44,175 per month.
