Khadija’s plea for a visit with her family was denied by ATC.
Concerned relatives of a PTI activist heard rumors about her deteriorating health in prison.

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad has denied fashion designer and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Khadija Shah’s request to see a doctor and speak with her family.
Khadija’s attorney, Samir Khosa, filed an appeal, but Judge Abher Gul Khan dismissed it.
After PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s detention on May 9, riots broke out, and a PTI activist was detained on allegations of inciting to arson.
Khadija’s attorney had requested that the court order the jail to produce a medical report and allow Khadija to visit with her family.
Khadija’s plea also mentioned how her family was concerned about her health condition. According to the petition, her loved ones had been denied access to her after her detention.
On Sunday, news outlets reported that Khadija Shah’s condition in prison had worsened. The PTI activist and designer, who is also in jail, has reportedly been sick for the past two days.
Khadija Shah, daughter of the former finance minister Salman Shah, is a prime suspect in the May 9 attack on the Jinnah House, the present residence of the Lahore Corps Commander following the arrest of the PTI head in Islamabad.
Khadija, the daughter-in-law of former army chief Gen (retd) Asif Nawaz Janjua, surrendered to police in Lahore’s Iqbal Town on May 23. The following day, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) remanded her to a seven-day judicial custody, instructing the police to present her in court after an identification parade on May 30.

Lahore’s SSP of investigations, Anoosh Masood, has denied claims PTI female inmates have been mistreated.
SSP Anoosh mentioned her visit to Kot Lakhpat Jail during a news conference in Lahore. She was joined by Lahore Deputy Commissioner Rafia Haider.
She told reporters, “We held separate sessions with everyone and questioned them [about any harassment]. I also spoke with Khadija Shah and inquired about her conditions in prison.
The top cop said that every inmate, even those with respiratory problems or skin disorders, had access to medication. There is always a doctor on duty. I’d like to make it perfectly clear that the jail is exclusively staffed by women and that male inmates are not permitted.
