As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the highest temperature in the city was recorded at 39.4 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. Early in the morning, the minimum temperature was 27 degrees Celsius.

The PMD weather forecast predicted that the weather will be mild and that the heat spell would probably end on Friday.

For the time being, scorching winds from Balochistani deserts blew into the city. The moisture in the air near the Arabian Sea side of the city had been replaced by dry breezes by midday.

By afternoon, scorching wind gusts had reduced the humidity to fifteen percent in the city.

The Meteorological Department’s PMD Early Warning Center issued a forecast on Thursday that suggests the hot spell may last through today. Temperatures could reach over 40 degrees. Nevertheless, Friday is predicted to be partly cloudy with a maximum temperature of 34 to 36 degrees, so the heat is probably going to lessen from then on.

The Department of Meteorology reports that starting on Friday, the city would experience significantly less impact from the northwesterly hot desert winds of Balochistan; nonetheless, other parts of the province are predicted to continue experiencing hot, dry weather.
