Imran’s arrest warrant has been put on hold indefinitely by the BHC.
The charges brought against the PTI head related to the inciting of “hate” against state institutions as well as the use of “foul language.”

QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court (BHC) on Wednesday prolonged the suspension of his arrest warrant in a case pertaining to inciting “hate” against state institutions and using “foul language” till the next hearing, which is another reprieve for PTI Chairman and former premier Imran Khan.
Syed Iqbal Shah Advocate, the head of the PTI attorneys’ forum, had contested the filing of a FIR and the issuing of an arrest order for Imran.
The BHC mandated that all records of cases filed under the offense be presented during the hearing.
Judge Rozi Khan Bareech of the BHC postponed further hearings on the application and extended the suspension of the PTI leader’s arrest warrants till the next hearing.
A Quetta-based district court issued the arrest warrants.
Earlier, the Quetta Bijli Road Police Station had filed a FIR against the former premier for using “foul language” and inciting “hate” against the state institutions. As a result, the BHC had suspended the former premier’s arrest order for two weeks.
Senior police officers traveled to Lahore to arrest the PTI chairman.
Abdul Khalil Kakar, a resident of Nawan Killi, had submitted an application on which the FIR had been recorded.
