SLAMBAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has come under fire from Senator Faisal Vawda for his erratic behavior. According to Vawda, the party tried to negotiate with the establishment but changed course when they were given no response.

Once again, the former PTI chairman berated the party for its ever-evolving rhetoric, particularly with regards to how it portrayed former army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

After facing criticism for his purported involvement in overthrowing the previous government, PTI subsequently extended his term in response to criticism, demonstrating what Vawda called a shift in the party’s positions.

In an interview with a private TV channel, Vawda commented, “First, he was considered bad then he became good,” exposing what he saw as the PTI’s “double standards.”

Vawda’s remarks coincide with PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Khan’s declaration that the party is not engaged in “backdoor talks” with anyone. The story surfaced the day before, claiming that the jailed founder of the party, Imran Khan, had given the go-ahead for talks with the political establishment and establishment forces.

According to him, the former prime had just asked for names in order to begin negotiations; however, at this time, no conversations were taking place.

When Vawda considered the overall situation in Pakistan, he bemoaned a trend in which good things happen at the same time as turmoil and strife. He cited incidents of violence, protests on the streets, and obstacles from the law impeding progress attempts.

“We need to overcome these obstacles in Pakistan before we can make further strides,” he said.

Vawda addressed worries about possible conflicts between the executive and judicial branches of government and emphasized the need for prompt resolution and mutual respect between the two branches.

“Recognizing and honoring each other’s boundaries is essential,” he said, adding that it is the duty of both sides to maintain cooperation and dignity.

Vawda emphasized the necessity of stopping the ongoing slander campaign in response to the recent incident surrounding IHC’s Justice Babar Sattar and the court’s following remark. But he also noted that the court’s clarification had created a great deal of misunderstanding, which must be resolved right once to stop the situation from getting worse.

Vawda emphasized the need for specific proof to back up any assertions made in the court’s statement regarding Justice Sattar’s revelation of his US green card to the IHC, assuming that the statements were indeed sent to the court in writing. He proposed that doing this would guarantee openness and allay any uncertainties or worries.
