On Monday, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq had a visit from Raja Fahim Kayani, president of the Tehreek-e-Kashmir (TeK) in the United Kingdom, and Altaf Ahmad Bhat, chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) and leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) in ISLAMABAD.

Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and the plight of Pakistanis and Kashmiris living in the United Kingdom were topics of conversation between the two.
Had has been vocal about his worries about the deteriorating political and human rights climate in IIOJK over the past week.
The AJK prime minister has pleaded with world leaders to act swiftly in response to the rising tide of Indian-sponsored terrorism in the area.
The bloodshed and violence that have plagued the troubled territory were denounced by Prime Minister Haq.
He described the “ethnic cleansing” and “genocide” of Kashmiri civilians at the hands of Indian occupying forces.
The Prime Minister of India has made an urgent appeal to the United Nations and other international organizations to stop the senseless slaughter of innocent Kashmiris.
He said India was imposing an apartheid system in the seized land and setting new benchmarks for brutality.
The AJK Prime Minister has expressed worry about India’s attempts to alter the region’s demography through the issuance of bogus domiciles to ex-servicemen and non-state residents, citing the revocation of special status for occupied Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, 2019.
The premier praised the efforts of diaspora Kashmiris in the United Kingdom and Europe to raise awareness of the Kashmiri cause during today’s meeting.
“The way overseas Kashmiris are highlighting the sufferings of the people of IIOJK is commendable and it should be expanded at a global level to hold India accountable before the world community for her crimes against humanity,” he said, adding that Pakistan and AJK are dedicated to supporting their Kashmiri counterparts across the border politically, morally, and diplomatically.
The prime minister informed Kayani that he would continue to bring up the plight of Kashmiris wherever he could. He proclaimed that neither he nor any other Kashmiri would be deterred from traversing the bloodied border between IIOJK and AJK, as neither group had ever recognised the Line of Control (LoC).
An international appeal to end Indian brutality in IIOJK has been published.
“We will never compromise on the plebiscite,” Haq vowed, adding that the almost 0.2 million retired armed personnel of AJK would not stand by and let the people of the IIOJK suffer and be exploited.
“They are ready to help their oppressed brothers and sisters in IIOJK.,” he continued, “the world community and other global powers must come forward and end the exploitation of IIOJK where people are fighting for the implementation of UN resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir”.
“We want to encourage the world to bear witness to the contrasts between the two sides of Kashmir through the freedom that the people in AJK are experiencing that cannot be envisaged in IIOJK. The AJK prime minister continued, “The fight for the right of self-determination is the mission of my government, and for this sacred cause all available resources would be utilised.”
Haq also addressed the accomplishments of his administration after 100 days in power. He claimed to have worked nonstop to make AJK’s administration more effective and the region’s infrastructure more useful to the public.
“We have big challenges in governance and infrastructure, but very soon the people will know how hard we have been trying to put it in line to make AJK a model in terms of governance,” he said.
He said that the political influence of government workers and unions was permanently shut down. To address environmental concerns, forest clearing is now illegal. The monthly expense of maintaining the prime minister’s residence and offices has been reduced from Rs12.5 million to Rs1.2 million. It’s a fantastic first step that the prime minister’s motorcade has gone from 30 cars to only 4. There is still a lot in store for AJK’s improvement.
Haq promised the president of TeK UK that AJK would create a welcoming atmosphere for any foreign businessmen who wished to do business there. Premier Haq has called for economic stability in Pakistan, and we hope that the country’s expatriate population would continue to provide it.
The president of TeK UK updated the prime minister on the contributions of Pakistanis and Kashmiris living abroad to the liberation movement in Kashmir and the British economy. According to him, the British government recognizes and praises the contributions of Pakistanis and Kashmiris who have made the UK their permanent home.
Kayani also said that diaspora Kashmiris would keep contributing to Britain’s progress and stand ready to help the people of Kashmir in their fight for independence.
On the occasion, JKSM chairman and APHC leader Bhat hailed the premier for his unflinching support for the ongoing freedom movement in IIOJK.
