The Bahawalnagar episode caused a stir among both locals and journalists when videos of people allegedly beating police personnel while wearing army uniforms went viral on social media.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released a statement in response to the events on Friday, highlighting the swift action that was taken in conjunction with police and military authorities to address and resolve the issue.

ISPR expressed sadness that some individuals with nefarious intent took advantage of the circumstances to spread false narratives on social media with the intention of causing rifts between government agencies and state institutions.

Additionally, the Punjab Police criticized what they described as “false propaganda” about the incident on a number of social media sites.

Later, a peace deal between the police and military forces was brokered by top commanders from both organizations.

Officers from both sides can be seen cheering for the Pakistan Army and Punjab Police in front of their respective superiors in a video captured on the occasion.

Speaking to the media at the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, Imran said that the way Punjab Police officials were treated in Bahawalnagar was more like treating slaves than brothers. He expressed his regret for the current situation and attributed it to the “law of the jungle” that governs the nation.

A new wave of inflation was predicted by Khan, who also warned against taking out loans from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and emphasized the threats to the economy and the aggravation of poverty brought on by a lack of investment.

He emphasized that the nation’s government did not uphold democracy, the rule of law, or the Constitution, and he said that loans could not bring about economic or monetary stability.

Khan forewarned that IMF loans would cause inflation, which would disproportionately impact the working class and the poor. Furthermore, he emphasized that a lack of investment would increase debt and poverty, endangering the future of the nation.

The former prime minister bemoaned the fact that Pakistanis had invested heavily in Dubai during the previous 18 months, claiming that this was a sign of the current situation in the nation.
