Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader: The government coalition has trapped ‘itself’ by arresting 7,000 people.

Imran Khan, leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), stated on Friday that the attack on Jinnah House that took place after his incarceration on May 9 was a “disgrace” for the country.

During his appearance at an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in the province capital, the former premier told reporters, “This should not have happened.” He said that he had “earlier as well” criticized the incident.

The historical Jinnah House, which served as the Lahore corps commander’s residence until Imran’s incarceration, was set on fire by enraged rioters.

Imran told reporters today that he was confident that “every Pakistani” shared his opinion that the attack was wrong.

Six ‘terrorists’ wanted in connection with May 9 incident reportedly arrested, according to police.

The PTI chairman said that he had “opened his house” for the media to inspect and that there was no truth to the claims that Imran was concealing terrorists responsible for the May 9 violence inside his Lahore home.

It is impossible for Pakistan to run on “fear,” Imran claims, because of the acts and human rights breaches of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM). He claimed that by detaining “7,000” people, the PDM has ensnared itself.

He said his party had been talking about conversations for 11 months, but that unilateral negotiations with the current government were impossible.

The PTI’s leader has declared that his organization can’t be beat since it has such a large voter base. Whoever comes and goes, it makes no difference.

Imran Khan, when asked about the recent arrests of PTI members and supporters, claimed that this sort of thing never occurred under the rule of (late) General Pervez Musharraf.

He said the opposition to the PTI wants to “crush” the party totally and that a “such a big crack down” on a political party had never happened before.

Nawaz Sharif, leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), was the target of Imran’s prediction that “he who is calling himself Imam Khomeini, the biggest fugitive and dacoit of Pakistan, will come back and contest the elections.”

When questioned by a journalist about his plan to host public processions, Imran pointed out that elections were scheduled to take place within a year and asked what countries did not hold demonstrations before the polls.

The former prime minister went to the ATC to apply for pre-arrest bail in three pending cases. Imran was arrested on May 9 and charged with ransacking, arson of the Jinnah House, and disruption of law and order.
