Imran chooses Panjutha to represent him in court.
In all courts, the PTI leader has authorized the lawyer to take depositions, file petitions, appeals, and intra-court appeals.

Imran Khan, leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), nominated attorney Naeem Panjutha as his substitute in legal proceedings on Saturday and issued a “special” power of attorney in his favour.
The Express Tribune has a copy of the power of attorney granting Panjutha the ability to file petitions, appeals, and intra-court appeals in any court.
The attorney can also make a courtroom speech on behalf of the ex-prime minister.
In his power of attorney, Imran claims that his personal obligations as party chief prevent him from testifying in civil or criminal proceedings.
Crimes that are “politically motivated”
A no-trust motion from the opposition forced Imran from office in April of last year, and since then he has been hit with what he calls a “slew” of “politically motivated” cases, from money laundering to terrorism.
In March, it was announced that 130 FIRs had been filed against the former prime minister and other party leaders, setting a new record.
Police in Punjab and Islamabad as well as the FIA filed the initial reports.
There were a total of 130 FIRs filed, and 35 of them involved Imran.
While 84 FIRs were filed against PTI officials and members, Imran Khan was only named as a suspect in six of them by police in Punjab. The FIA filed three FIRs, with Imran included in one, and the Islamabad police filed 43 against party workers.
