Pervez Khattak, leader of the PTI-Parliamentarians (PTI-P), made the assertion that former prime minister Imran Khan just intended to “bring about a revolution against institutions” on Saturday.

This was one of the accusations made by the PTI-P founder during a media conference in Peshawar directed against the PTI head.
When in charge, Imran “used to tell us to lie to such an extent so that it appears to be the truth,” as Khattak put it.
After Khattak did not answer to a show-cause notice in July for “inciting” members to leave the PTI, the party cancelled his basic party membership.
Earlier today he made remarks to the press in which he criticised the events of May 9.
In addition, he had high praise for former army head Qamar Javed Bajwa, whom Imran had accused of being at the centre of a “conspiracy” that led to his removal from power via a vote of no confidence.
At the time that Khattak was a member of the PTI, former army chief Bajwa “supported us a great deal,” he stated. But ultimately, he, too, admitted defeat and declared, “I can’t do any more.”
He said that Lieutenant-General (retired) Faiz Hameed, a former spymaster, and Bajwa had “created an environment for elections,” but Imran disagreed.
The leader of the PTI-P did not provide any additional context for these comments.
On top of that, he said, “I was the one who had brought around 60 per cent of electables in the party (PTI).”
Khattak further warned that the PTI may be labelled a “criminal party” and “face a ban” if this proved to be the case.
He indicated that the PTI leader might face difficulties in four cases: Toshakhana, cypher, the Al-Qadir Trust case, and the May 9 riots.
