To address the problems caused by the previous caretaker government’s perceived political participation, a carefully selected cabinet has been assembled.

On August 10, at temporary CM Khan’s request, former interim ministers who had been appointed after the K-P assembly was dissolved in protest in January 2023 on the instructions of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) president resigned en masse.

Twenty-six ministers, advisors, and special assistants made up the last caretaker cabinet.

Ministers’ involvement in politics was continuously brought up, putting pressure on the caretaker cabinet and the government’s personnel.
