Directives have been issued to implement a specific examination program known as the “Executive Health Checkup” across all government hospitals in the province. Syed Qasim Ali Shah, the provincial health minister, is leading this initiative.

The minister stressed that the goal of this program is to provide the province’s esteemed older citizens with the opportunity to get checked out in a respectful way without having to stand in line.

Seniors will also receive a unique card that has detailed records of all of their prior examinations and medical interventions. In addition, the card will provide them with free diagnostic testing in addition to regular checkups every three months.

The minister noted that older folks are a tremendous asset to the province since they have dedicated their valued years of service to the community. The province’s appreciation for their commitment and service is demonstrated by this program.

In order to expedite the implementation of this program, the Directorate General Health Services has sent letters to all medical superintendents throughout the province, directing them to take action within seven days in order to begin providing free screenings for senior citizens 65 years of age and older in government hospitals every three months. Every three months, government hospitals will offer free screenings that include physical examinations, ultrasounds, lab work, CT scans, MRIs, and other necessary procedures.

The K-P minister recently emphasized that in order to relieve the pressure on Peshawar’s major hospitals, the district-level primary healthcare system needs to be strengthened. He emphasized the necessity of improving the system to guarantee the delivery of crucial healthcare services at health centers and DHQ hospitals throughout the province during a one-day training program for Lady Health Workers coordinators under the Primary Health Care Reform Project.

While admitting that the healthcare industry faces many obstacles today, he underlined the value of teamwork in overcoming these obstacles and reaffirmed his commitment to offering excellent healthcare, particularly in neglected areas.

Speaking to the LHWs coordinators, he emphasized the critical need of giving public health first priority and promised prompt resolution of their problems. He promised to improve hospital infrastructure and stressed the importance of treating patients ethically. Acknowledging the critical role that physicians play in the community, he underscored the team’s shared accountability for providing healthcare.

The Director General of Health Services in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Dr. Shaukat Ali, stressed the need of strengthening the primary healthcare system by enhancing the abilities of LHWs and promised unwavering support for bettering healthcare services.
