A debate at a think tank in ISLAMABAD marked the beginning of a nine-day trip to China by a Pakistani legislative delegation.

During the conversation, both parties were able to share their perspectives and learn from one another.
According to Zheng Bijian, the head of the academic council at the China Institute for Innovation and Development Strategy (CIIDS), “Before us is not the so-called ‘end of history,’ but the beginning of a new era — the community of shared future.”
Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed of Pakistan, who is leading the delegation, stated, “Pakistan and China, side by side, are undergoing profound changes of a kind unseen in a century.” These changes include China’s peaceful growth, the West’s decline, and the emergence of a community with a common future.
The discussion has strengthened, and the two countries have agreed that their all-weather relationship is a great opportunity to further their bilateral cooperation.

The ten-year anniversary of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project is being celebrated by the two countries.
The signing of CPEC in Pakistan during Xi’s visit at the invitation of then-prime minister Nawaz Sharif marked the beginning of construction on a major mega project of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), an idea conceived by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Since CPEC is intended to improve not only transportation infrastructure (such as roads, railways, seaports, and airports), but also health, education, and skills development, Prime Minister Shehbaz has promised to speed up progress.
The prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, praised CPEC, calling it “a beautiful plan to connect not only regions and areas but also the hearts of people.” “CPEC will have positive impacts on the people’s living standards in the region,” he continued.
