BBC reports that in February 2022, Saqib Hussain and Hashim Ijazuddin, both aged 21, were killed after their car was forcefully torn in two outside Leicester, United Kingdom.

Saqib Hussain was found guilty after a high-stakes trial in which he faced intense scrutiny for threatening to reveal an affair he had with Ansreen Bukhari.

The decision was delivered against Ansreen Bukhari, aged 46, and her 24-year-old daughter Mahek Bukhari, an influencer on the famous TikTok platform, after the jury deliberated for 28 hours.

It was impossible for the mother and daughter to hold back their tears as the jury read its verdict. The trial took place in Leicester Crown Court, and important evidence was presented there, such as a panicked emergency call Hussain made just before the collision, in which he described being chased and harassed.

Also found guilty of murder were co-defendants Rekhan Karwan and Raees Jamal. Although Mohammed Patel was found not guilty of murder, he was found guilty of manslaughter along with Natasha Akhtar, Ameer Jamal, and Sanaf Gulamustafa.

Judge Timothy Spencer KC has set September 1 as the date for sentencing all of the convicted individuals, including the Bukharis. Both families are now dealing with the devastating death of a loved one as a result of the verdicts. Both Hussain and Ijazuddin’s parents gave moving speeches, remembering their sons as kind, generous people.

Leicestershire Police Detective Inspector Mark Parish blasted the defendants’ callous behavior, saying that the tragedy could have been avoided if help had been sought immediately.
