Do not believe that Pakistan will compete in the World Cup matches that are held in India: ICC’s Wasim Khan
There has been discussion inside Pakistan over the potential of playing their World Cup matches in neutral territory.

Wasim Khan, General Manager of Cricket for the International Cricket Council (ICC), thinks Pakistan may decide to play its 2023 World Cup games at a neutral location rather than against India.

In order to avoid going to Pakistan for the future 2023 Asia Cup, India had declined. Pakistan was threatening to boycott the Asia Cup, which has led India to think about using a “hybrid approach” for the competition.

Other teams would play their matches in Pakistan under this suggested format, but the Indian squad would play its matches abroad.

Now, Pakistan is reportedly investigating the option of holding their World Cup games in a neutral venue.

The previous CEO of the PCB stated in an interview with a local TV station that “a neutral venue is extremely likely” regardless of where it would take place.

Pakistan won’t play any of its World Cup games in India, in my opinion. Like India’s Asia Cup games, I believe their matches will also take place at a neutral location, Wasim continued.

Bangladesh is a potential neutral site for Pakistan’s World Cup matches since it is near to India and won’t provide logistical difficulties for the organizers.
