The PTI chairman and ex-prime minister reportedly spent two hours with the eight-person investigative team recording his statement and answering questions about the cipher issue.

According to the sources, the PTI chairman has declared the cipher a reality and restated his former position that the solutions may be found in the minutes of the NSC sessions.

According to the sources, the PTI chairman was also questioned about Azam Khan’s comments, who used to serve as his principal secretary. Asad Umar and Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s remarks have already been recorded by the team.

Proclamation proceedings against 22 PTI leaders are initiated by the ATC.

On Tuesday, a four-person ECP panel chaired by Member Nisar Durrani declared that they will indict the PTI chairman on August 2. The PTI leader will have to appear before the bench in person at the next hearing.

The issue of PTI Chairman Fawad Chaudhary and Asad Umar’s contempt of the ECP and chief election commissioner (CEC) was heard by the bench. Chaudhry apologized throughout the hearing.

Durrani requested an apology letter from Chaudhry. The bench was also asked to excuse Asad Umar’s absence during the hearing. The new court date for this matter is August 2.

The PTI chairman is also being prosecuted for criminal charges in the Toshakhana gift case in a court in the nation’s capital. After finishing cross-examination of its witness on Tuesday, the ECP rested its case. The PTI chairman was called to court today (Wednesday) to give testimony.

In the meantime, Chief Justice Aamir Farooq of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) heard four separate applications filed by the PTI chairman. On his petition for information on the charges against him, the court issued notices to the police and the FIA.

The court also heard the motion to transfer the Toshakhana case based on the judge’s Facebook posts. The chief judge expressed his dismay at the current state of affairs on social media.
