Non-bailable warrants have been issued for Imran for the May 9 riots; Qureshi and Umar have fled after the court denied their bail requests.

LAHORE/ ISLAMABAD:
PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Asad Umar fled court on Tuesday in a desperate attempt to avoid arrest after a local judge denied them bail in a case related to the May 9 violence.
In reaction for the arrest of the PTI head on corruption accusations on May 9, many protestors attacked sensitive state and military institutions.
Following it, several party leaders and workers were detained and charged with instigating violence and creating discontent.
Qureshi and Umar had emerged as two major leaders who had chosen not to leave the party despite their disagreements.
Nonetheless, following his release from jail last month, Umar stepped down from his role as PTI Secretary General.
The two leaders appeared before Additional Sessions Judge, Tahir Abbas Supra, today in connection with a case registered against them over arson and vandalism of state and public property.
As soon as the judge announced his verdict rejecting the two PTI leaders’ bail applications, the two were seen escaping the court premises to avoid arrest.
