The PTI is looking for feedback on who should lead the NAB.
sends a letter to the NA speaker requesting the job of the opposition leader in the NA.

Fawad Chaudhry, senior vice president of the PTI, stated that a new leader of his party’s opposition in the National Assembly need to be informed prior to the appointment of a new chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Fawad contended that the opposition leader in NA should be chosen from the party as the Lahore High Court (LHC) stopped the notification of PTI legislators.
Thus, he insisted, the opposition leader should only be properly consulted before appointing a head of the anti-graft body.
The former federal minister pointed out that Raja Riaz, the current opposition leader and a disgruntled PTI lawmaker, lacked the qualifications for the role because “everyone knows he was a turncoat.”
It would be intolerable if the NAB chief was chosen without Riaz’s input, he continued.
He added that if a PTI legislator was consulted about the topic, the PTI would approach the courts and that NAB Chairman Aftab Sultan resigned from his position as a result of “pressure to lodge phoney charges” against the government’s opponents.
He asserted that the judges are the target of a coordinated campaign. He claimed that the Supreme Court of Pakistan should take note of the PML-“campaign N’s against five judges engaged in the Panama case.”
He continued by saying that the PTI wanted to improve the nation’s justice system.
He revealed that the PTI had made the decision to show up in court whenever the judge summoned them. “I don’t know why the judges felt it was necessary to summon Imran to court. The former premier did, however, show up for the hearing out of respect for the legal system,” he continued.
He chastised the authorities for failing to make preparations for the PTI chief’s visit to the LHC, nevertheless.
“On the occasion of PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s presence before the bench, the high court made history. The residents of Lahore showered Imran with adoration.
He stated that the PTI’s “jail bharo” (volunteer arrest) movement will begin today, Wednesday, and that it would involve peaceful demonstrations.
He thanked the government for enforcing Section 144 (on the city’s few roads) and stated that thousands of people will protest on Mall Road the following day. Snap polls are our only requirement, he continued.
PTI Senator Ejaz Chaudhry stated that the movement was the PTI’s next political strategy on this occasion, and he added that 200 leaders and workers will present themselves to the authorities.
The campaign was also a protest against inflation, he continued, and arrests will follow Lahore to other cities.
PTI notifies a speaker in NA
On the other side, in a similar event, PTI sent a letter to Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, the speaker of the National Assembly, requesting to reclaim the important position following the resignation of the NAB head.
Under the direction of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Malik Aamir Dogar, the PTI’s Chief Whip in the National Assembly, filed the letter to the Secretariat of the National Assembly.
The letter claimed that PTI was the biggest opposition party in the national legislature and cited the LHC’s ruling as support. Hence, the head of the opposition must belong to the same party.
In accordance with NAB law, the letter further stated, the speaker of the house and the leader of the opposition must consult before appointing a new chairman.
Aftab Sultan’s successor must therefore be decided upon following consultation with the next opposition leader chosen by the PTI.
