On Saturday, an unknown assailant or assailants threw a hand grenade into the Quetta police station on Civil Line.

One police officer was hurt in the incident, and authorities say he has been taken to a local hospital for treatment. The policeman is reportedly safe and sound now.
The explosive smashed the police station’s windows, but the perpetrators made it out of there unscathed.
Senior law enforcement officers have arrived, and an inquiry into the incident has begun.
Mir Quddus Bizenjo, the chief minister of Balochistan, took note of what had happened and vehemently denounced the act.
He then gave orders for the criminals to be apprehended by the police.

At least four people, including two police officers, were killed and dozens more were injured when two explosions ripped through Quetta in April.
Terrorists had hidden an improvised explosive device (IED) in a motorbike parked near a police car in the Kandahari Bazar neighbourhood of the city, setting off the initial explosion. According to senior police official Zohaib Mohsin in Quetta, the explosive was intended at the police van.
In the Sariab Road neighbourhood of Quetta, a bomb went off near a police car. According to police reports, four officers were hurt during the incident. A hand grenade was reportedly thrown into the vehicle of the Sariab SHO, causing four people inside to sustain injuries. The SHO, however, survived the assault unscathed.
A month later, in the city of Zhob in Balochistan, Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Amir Sirajul Haq narrowly evaded a bomb attempt on his convoy.
Authorities claimed they located the bomber’s body at the scene of the explosion and quickly labelled the attack as a suicide bombing.
