The Pakistani Foreign Office and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bilawal have both expressed their gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their aid in the evacuation of Pakistani people.

ISLAMABAD:
According to the Foreign Office (FO), 427 Pakistanis have safely arrived in Port Sudan and are being accommodated while plans are made for their subsequent travel.
The spokesperson added in a statement that the FO was working with Pakistan’s Missions in the area to help Pakistanis there while still keeping track of what was happening in Sudan.
A humanitarian catastrophe has developed in Sudan as a result of the abrupt outbreak of hostilities between the military and the heavily armed Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary group on April 15.
Last week, thousands of foreign diplomats, humanitarian workers, students, and their families found themselves imprisoned in a combat zone alongside millions of Sudanese without access to essential services who were locked in their houses.
A follow-up virtual meeting with Pakistan’s missions in Sudan and its neighbors was conducted a few days ago by Foreign Secretary Asad Majeed Khan to discuss strategies for the safe evacuation of Pakistanis from the troubled nation.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Pakistan International Airline (PIA), the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, and other pertinent organizations.
Earlier, the Saudi Embassy in Pakistan reported the Sunday evacuation of 91 persons from Sudan, including Pakistanis.
The action, according to a statement from the embassy, was carried out by the Royal Saudi Naval Forces with the assistance of several branches of the military forces in accordance with orders from the government of the Kingdom.
“We are pleased to announce the safe arrival of the Kingdom citizens who were evacuated from the Republic of Sudan, as well as several nationals of brotherly and friendly countries, including diplomats and international officials,” the statement read.
The United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt, Tunisia, Pakistan, India, Bulgaria, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Canada, and Burkina Faso are among the friendly and fraternal nations from whom sixty-six persons have been evacuated.
In order to prepare for their departure to their different nations, it was also stated that the Kingdom endeavored to meet all of the demands of foreign citizens.
Bilawal acknowledges KSA
In a phone call with his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed his sincere gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s aid in removing Pakistani citizens from Sudan.
The two ministers concurred that the two nations will work closely together to assist Sudanese emigration.
Additionally, FM Bilawal sent Prince Faisal bin Farhan his Eid greetings and wished him health, happiness, and growth for the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia.
Additionally, the two parties discussed topics of common interest in the area and around the world.
Bilawal expressed certainty that the restoration of diplomatic ties between the Kingdom and Iran will bring about stability and development in the region.
