As part of the Foreign Minister’s Change Management Initiative, the ‘Share Pakistan’ portal was launched by Bilawal.

On Wednesday, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari unveiled ‘Share Pakistan Portal,’ a digital repository designed to facilitate more efficient, focused communication between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Pakistan’s more than 100 diplomatic posts across the world.
Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif said that the online standardized information system would collect and disseminate the impact of public diplomacy initiatives in pursuit of Pakistan’s foreign policy objectives at the inaugural event held in partnership with the National Information Technology Board (NITB).
Bilawal said he was committed to enhancing the ministry’s capacity to effectively execute on its objectives through management changes, thus he launched the “Foreign Minister’s Change Management Initiative.”
He explained that a group of experts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its overseas missions came up with a plan to make this a reality by digitalizing and simplifying the Ministry’s rules, policies, and procedures in a wide range of areas, such as human resources, finance, logistics, communication, counselor, protocol, and community services.
He explained that the goal of his “Change Management Initiative” will be to create a workplace culture that places a higher premium on efficiency, creativity, and output.
The foreign minister said that the diplomatic service would be further addressed and transformed by the detailed report on the “Change Management Initiative,” making it better able to face the difficulties of the modern world.
Using the “Change Management Initiative,” as Bilawal called it, the Foreign Ministry and the Embassies and Consulates of the country would be able to communicate effectively.
He went on to say that the portal’s goal was to make it easier for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its diplomatic postings overseas to communicate and share information with one another, both horizontally and vertically, in the realm of public diplomacy.
He claimed the gateway will make public diplomacy efforts more streamlined and open to the public.
The minister of foreign affairs claimed that this paperless digital tool was the first portal launch addressing the incorporation of digital technology in public diplomacy’s strategic outreach initiatives and institutions.
For example, “it will be used in diplomacy for outreach decision support, drafting strategic communication, translating foreign policy, and analysis of latest trends,” he stated.
As a model for future projects, Bilawal was confident that this digital tool would facilitate fruitful and efficient dialogue between the ministry and its outposts.
He envisioned the portal as a first step toward streamlined communication systems and IT-based solutions that would improve the Foreign Ministry’s collaboration with other government agencies and boost interdepartmental coordination.
He thanked the National Information and Telecommunications Board (NITB) and the Ministry of Information Technology (MoIT) for collaborating with Mofa to create the portal, which will increase the visibility of Mofa’s public diplomacy efforts and help it accomplish its foreign policy objectives.
He then extended his congratulations to the Spokesperson’s office and the Strategic Commutations group for the new website’s successful launch.
The event was launched with a video-link appearance by the country’s high commissioners and ambassadors.
