According to the UK’s trade envoy, more may be done to improve relations. These improvements can include liberalizing trade and opening up investment opportunities.

ISLAMABAD:
UK MP Mark Eastwood said the visit confirmed his belief that more can be done to enhance commerce and relations between the two nations as he wrapped off the United Kingdom (UK) Prime Minister’s four-day Trade Envoy to Pakistan on Thursday.
He stated, “Pakistan has a bright future,” underscoring the UK’s commitment to Pakistan and the trade envoy’s goals for a closer and more fruitful bilateral partnership. My trip has confirmed for me that there is still a lot we can accomplish together, whether it be by liberalizing trade, creating investment possibilities, introducing new technology, or assisting Pakistan in moving toward clean energy and sustainable growth.
The trade envoy’s itinerary includes in-depth meetings with top officials from the federal and provincial governments as well as top British and Pakistani corporations in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.
“I depart with a very strong impression that our two countries together are prepared to develop even closer,” the MP said at the conclusion of his maiden trip to Pakistan in his capacity as a trade ambassador. “I will work hard to expand our relationship.”
Sarah Mooney, the trade director and deputy high commissioner, stated, “I was happy to welcome Mark back to Pakistan. I am certain Mark’s visit will create new commercial opportunities, and I am eager to build on the current trade momentum.
Eastwood met with Syed Naveed Qamar, the Federal Commerce Minister, SM Tanveer, the Chairman of the Pakistan Business Council, Muhammad Aurangzeb, and other business executives to reaffirm the UK’s role as a long-standing, dependable trading partner with Pakistan and to demonstrate his full support for that country’s economic recovery through shared prosperity.
