The statement asserts that Pashtuns desire a peaceful coexistence with Balochs in the province on the basis of equality.

QUETTA: Mehmood Khan Achakzai, chief of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), has advocated holding a round-table meeting with all of the country’s major groups in order to pull the country out of the current economic and political crises.

On the occasion of the 49th death anniversary of Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai, also known as Khan Shaheed, on Friday, Achakzia urged all political forces to put their heads together in order to address the issues that are being faced by the country while speaking at a massive public meeting at the Ayub Stadium. Khan Shaheed’s death anniversary was also observed.

“I believe in a democratic Pakistan in which every nationality is afforded the constitutional, economic, and cultural rights that are their due. In this Pakistan, every nationality also has its own identity.” We demand that all Pashtun areas, not only those in the southwest and the northwest, be included in the proposed unitary province for the Pakhtun people.

“I will salute each and everyone, whether it is a judge or general, who believes in such a Pakistan,” he remarked after making the observation. “I will salute such a Pakistan.”

Achakzai further emphasised that Pashtuns want a peaceful co-existence with Balochs on the basis of equality in the province, and he called on the masses to give their womenfolk the respect and rights that are due to them.

He posed the following question to the audience: “If you don’t send your girls to school, how can we develop female physicians, pilots, intellectuals, and leaders?”

In addition to this, he encouraged the Taliban in Afghanistan to ensure that women are allowed to receive an education by lifting any bans and obstacles that stand in their way.
