According to Express News, a protest by lawyers caused key Karachi roads to remain closed for hours on Wednesday morning, causing significant traffic disruptions.
Sharea Faisal, Qayyumabad Road, the National Highway, Korangi Road, Sunset Boulevard, and Gizri Road were among the affected locations.
Compartments were utilized to hinder the streets, prompting long lines of vehicles. Due to the disruptions in the route, commuters were unable to arrive at their workplaces on time.
From Defence Mor to Punjab Chowrangi, severe traffic jams were reported. Travelers were advised to take alternative routes to reach their destinations by traffic police.
Lawyers’ claims that a truck driver had been assaulted by the police sparked the protest. Lawyers later said they were ending their protest, according to media reports.
SSP South expressed that fruitful dealings were held with the attorneys, prompting the finish of the dissent.
Currently, traffic police are working to normalize vehicle traffic and make things easier for commuters.
