Allegations of anomalies and electoral manipulation have prompted the decision.

On April 21, polling is set to resume at 12 polling places of PB-51 Chaman. Polls are expected to open at 8 a.m. and close at 5 p.m.

The formal notification for PB-51 will be determined by the results of the repoll.

With 20,390 votes, Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai has won the constituency over his opponent, Asghar Achakzai of the ANP, who received 19,623 votes.

The action was taken in response to accusations made by PB-51’s failed candidates who claimed there had been electoral fraud. As a result, the electoral authority decided to order a comprehensive inquiry and, on March 6, to hold a repoll at the designated voting places.
