The Federal Ministry of Education’s budget has been proposed to be significantly increased by the federal government, with Rs25.75 billion allocated for the upcoming fiscal year.

This is a 204% increase over the budget from the previous year. Two billion rupees have been set aside for the Pakistan National Endowment Fund, according to officials.

Additionally, the amount of money allocated to Daanish schools in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir will increase from Rs500 million to Rs5 billion. The Ministry of Education received Rs8.50 billion the previous year.

Finance Priest Muhammad Aurangzeb is set to reveal the Rs18 trillion government spending plan for the financial year 2024-25 in the Public Gathering on Wednesday (today), which would zero in on monetary combination to contain the spending plan shortage, official sources said yesterday.

The main goals of the budget, according to sources, would be to alleviate people’s problems, transform the agricultural sector, promote information technology (IT), increase exports, encourage industrial growth, and support businesses.

According to the sources, the government was firmly committed to presenting a federal budget that is pro-people, business-friendly, and progressive. The sources also stated that the budget was formulated with the current challenges facing the economy on both domestic and international fronts in mind.
