Jiang Zaidong, China’s newly designated envoy to Pakistan, has stated that China will always treat Pakistan as a ‘top priority’ in terms of its approach to neighborhood diplomacy.
“China views its relations with Pakistan from a strategic and long-term perspective, and Pakistan has always been a high priority in China’s neighbourhood diplomacy,” Zaidong added.
Furthermore, he said, the growth of China will “undoubtedly create new opportunities” for the bilateral relationship between China and Pakistan.
The newly appointed ambassador claimed that the “fundamentals sustaining China’s long-term growth remain unchanged,” referring to the CPC Central Committee under the leadership of President Xi Jinping. China is self-assured, has the resources, and can steer the country towards ever-better economic structure optimisation, growth momentum, and development trends.

Pakistan’s agribusiness exports to China have increased significantly in recent years. The CPEC is a concrete example of the all-weather friendship between China and Pakistan, and it will help lay the groundwork for an even more tightly knit society with a common future in the next millennium.
