According to party counsel Sher Afzal Khan Marwat, there are people in the PTI’s core committee and legal team “jeopardizing his security by leaking sensitive party information to adversaries,” so the PTI has decided to look into this. This news came from LAHORE.
The PTI Core Committee and the Khan legal team’s traitors have put my life in risk. There is no denying the treachery among the PTI Core Committee. Marwat said on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday that recordings of core committee sessions had been shared with opponents and the media.
The PTI attorney claimed he had to flee for his life and had gone into hiding.
“Shockingly, details and recordings of the Legal team’s Zoom sessions have been shared with outside parties, putting my life and freedom in grave danger. The selected team may find me at any time, as this is my first time going underground,” he remarked on X.
I made voice messages and told the partygoers about the persons following me. I went into hiding yesterday and don’t know if I’m safe, but I’ve identified my pursuers and submitted their identities to a team of lawyers so they may take legal action if I don’t turn up,” he said.
The PTI leadership is haunted by the’missing cypher’ story.
It’s become harder and harder to trust even those in the party’s innermost circles. If I am given permission by the proper party members and I make it through the hunt alive, I will reveal the names of the traitors as soon as possible.
Marwat’s post was noticed by the party’s upper echelons, who decided to look into his claims.
The PTI spokesman insisted that the party was going through a crucial time, and that the core committee was working hard to carry out Imran Khan’s orders in running the day-to-day business.
He reaffirmed that the party’s legal staff is made up of “skilled, diligent, and loyal experts striving to uphold justice in an environment characterized by lawlessness and severe reprisals against leaders and workers, including the party chairman.”
He told them that the group values their commitment to justice and the rule of law even in the face of adversity.
The spokesperson added that, rather than take to Twitter, Advocate Marwat should go via proper party procedures to air his grievances.
The party is dedicated to completing a thorough investigation into the incident, and his comments should be seen as his personal opinions, the spokeswoman said.
Considering the extensive efforts to weaken PTI, he said, internal animosity, dissension, and conspiracy cannot be ruled out.
The PTI’s spokesperson reaffirmed the importance of consensus decision making in maintaining the party’s cohesion, and he invited Marwat to work with the party to back up his claims.
In the meantime, Marwat went back to X and retracted his earlier remarks.
