According to the Islamabad police, the suspects in the F-9 park rape case were slain.
Those responsible for the attack on the federal police checkpoint had a long criminal record and were on the “wanted” list.

ISLAMABAD: According to Islamabad Capital Police (ICT), suspects in the F-9 park rape case were killed in retaliatory fire on Thursday after they allegedly opened fire on a police checkpoint in the capital.
Two motorcycle-riding gunmen opened fire at police roadblock D-12, according to a morning tweet from the Islamabad police’s official Twitter account.
The capital police continued by saying that safety precautions ensured the safety of police officers during the incident. They also said that although both “assailants” were taken to a hospital, they eventually passed away from their wounds.
The gunmen were identified and both were connected to the F-9 park rape investigation, the police tweeted hours later.
Additionally, they stated that one of the accused was complicit in a murder that occurred during a heist and that the “attackers” were wanted for serious crimes, including street crimes.
A young woman was allegedly raped earlier this month at Islamabad’s Fatima Jinnah Park, popularly known as F-9 park, by two armed men.
The occurrence happened on February 2. The victim claims that she was in the park with a male companion when she was raped at gunpoint by the suspects.
When two armed assailants appeared and took the woman and a coworker captive, they were taken to a part of the park that was forested.
The two armed guys separated the woman and her companion by forcing them into the surrounding bushes under threat of gunfire. They then assaulted the woman physically when she begged them to release her. According to the victim’s FIR filed at the Margala Police Station, she even offered them money to get them to release her.
The attackers also told the victim that if she didn’t lower her voice, they would summon more of their “friends” to attack her. The gun-toting attackers stopped the victim’s attempts to flee, according to the FIR.
After raping the girl, the assailants gave her and her coworker all of their possessions back and even made a $1,000 offer to remain silent about what had happened. The woman was allegedly told by the suspected rapists that it was inappropriate for her to be at the park at that hour of the night, per the FIR.
