The applications of Salman Akram Raja and Shoaib Shaheen, who ran for the National Assembly in the general elections, were considered by IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq.

Raja was represented by counsel, but Shaheen himself came before the court.

The IHC chief justice stated at the hearing that the petitioners had a legal right to seek certified forms. He added that Raja’s appeal would be subject to the same order as was granted for Shaheen’s request, and that the ECP was had to issue these papers whether they did so today or in 10 days.

The court postponed the case’s hearing and sent a notice to the polls supervisory body requesting that it respond by this Wednesday.
