On the same day, the PTI chief’s bail and sentence suspension applications would be heard by a division bench consisting of Justices Aamer Farooq and Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri.

The IHC has already requested Imran’s case file from the District and Sessions Court (West) in Islamabad.

In a statement of assets and liabilities submitted to the polls supervisory authority between 2018 and 2022, Imran Khan failed to disclose the sale and purchase gifts he received from the Toshakhana. On August 5, the trial court sentenced him to three years in prison and fined him Rs100,000.

The court also barred the ex-prime minister from holding public office for the next five years, making it impossible for him to run in the upcoming general election in November.
