Imran Khan, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and a former prime minister, asked on Friday that Gen. (ret.) Qamar Javed Bajwa be tried in court-martial for making an anti-Russian statement.

The army head, according to Imran, “seems to be taking me as his enemy,” he lamented. He declared, “I am not corrupt,” and he pressed everyone to provide just one instance of corruption involving him or his wife.

The PTI leader told reporters in Lahore, “I defy you to produce even one example of corruption against my wife and me.

I challenge even the army leader to find evidence of my corruption, he continued.

Imran claimed that while he had no beef with the ruling class, he would not bow down if someone expected him to.

“Our establishment does not grasp what politics is,” he continued.

For the benefit of the nation, the PTI chairman informed reporters that he was willing to speak with the army chief. He also stated what he might do if no one was willing to talk to him. He emphasised the necessity of bolstering the army, nevertheless.

In response, the former prime minister attacked Gen. (ret.) Bajwa. Imran claimed, “Gen [retd] Bajwa stabbed me in the back. “Gen [retd] Bajwa made a speech against Russia. For that speech, he should face court martial.”

Imran claimed that every effort had been made to persuade Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, the former chief minister of Punjab, to defect to the PTI. We must now demonstrate our loyalty to Pervaiz Elahi since I am unable to be untrue to anyone.

In response to a query regarding Punjab’s upcoming chief minister, Imran stated that several candidates for the seats allotted for women also desired the position of chief minister. In a more lighthearted tone, he said: “A massacre will occur if the decision is made today.”

Imran responded that a video concerning a threat to his life had been recorded and posted abroad when asked further about any potential danger to his life. He continued, “Those who are meant to safeguard me are putting me in risk.

Regarding the impending elections, the PTI leader claimed that holding the general elections [for the National Assembly and all provincial assemblies] simultaneously will save the government money.

He expressed confidence that the PTI would prevail in the upcoming elections. He declared, “Despite the PDM (Pakistan Democratic Movement) umpires, we would win the election. “Pakistanis living abroad support the PTI.”

The PTI leader explained his sudden change of plans to avoid flying to the federal capital by claiming that he received information that the government intended to detain him at the airport and transfer him to Balochistan.

But they had to keep in mind that putting me in jail would increase our support, he added. Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi Crown Prince, “is still in touch with me,” the PTI chairman added.
